Desert Cassia. A small tree with a beautiful cascading habit, covered with showers of yellow flowers. It is suitable for pot culture and bonsai, has tiny leaves. The tree is nearly everblooming, relatively cold-hardy.

Horseradish tree, Ben Oil Tree. Possibly one of the most useful trees in the world, it produces long green pods that have been compared to a cross between peanuts and asparagus. The roots are used as a substitute for horseradish and the edible leaves make a highly nutritious vegetable. The roots have also been used in many folk remedies.
Cover seeds with 3/4" well-drained soil mix, keep warm, water when soil is nearly dry. Bright light.

Butterfly pea, Asian pigeon wings. Perfect vine! Blooms year-round, fast growing, easy, not invasive, controllable, not messy, curious white flower - Clitoris-like flower shape, hence name of the plant. Fast-growing climber with fine foliage, pinnate leaves.

Apricot Brandy is a tropical hibiscus with a warm, glowing color that looks like sunlight captured in a flower. The large, double blooms open in rich coral-apricot tones, deepening toward the center with soft pinkish highlights. Each blossom shows layers of silky, overlapping petals that form a full, ruffled shape. Bright orange anthers and yellow pollen add a cheerful contrast.
This variety blooms freely through the warm months, especially with regular feeding and full sun. Flowers last only a day as with all hibiscus, but new buds follow continuously, keeping the plant in color for much of the year.
The foliage is glossy and deep green, forming a neat, bushy shrub that reaches about 4-6 ft tall and 3-4 ft wide. It's well suited for hedges, accent planting, or containers on sunny patios. Like other tropical hibiscus, it prefers warmth, rich well-drained soil, and consistent moisture.
Apricot Brandy adds a tropical, sunset hue to the garden and pairs beautifully with reds, yellows, and pinks. It's one of the most rewarding double hibiscus varieties for both landscape and container gardeners.
In TopTropicals garden this variety showed pretty strong cold tolerance (at least to light freeze) and we believe it might be a hybrid between H. rosa-sinensis and cold hardy H. syriacus. It is often referred to as H. Althea, H. Amplissimus (referring to double flower), and Double Rose of Sharon. Similar variety with lighter, salmon color - Peach Blow, is an old landscape hybrid, widespread in Florida.

Also known as the Miracle Mango. Fruit come in bunches. Medium size tree. It is a Thai mango that fruits in the winter and often fruits in the summer of the same year producing two crops annually. The fruit ripens from November-January and sometimes July as well. The fruit are typically 0.75-1.0 lbs and have a golden yellow skin when ripe. The pulp is sweet and firm and has a very distinctive coconut flavor. The trees are vigorous growers with a densely foliated canopy and upright habit. This variety is an excellent choice for winter residents, and growers that want to extend their mango season beyond the traditional summer months.

Longan Sri Champoo - superior variety with pinkish fruit.
Longan is a medium sized tree from China, it can be pruned to maintain a small tree size. This lychee relative has stiffer leaves, more wind resistance and fruits more prolifically and regularly than its famous cousin. The flesh is sweet and is usually eaten fresh but can be canned or dried. The crisp skin is easy to remove and the white flesh has a texture and sweetness reminiscent of litchi.

Parrot's Beak. An extraordinary round shrub with pendant branches, large long leaves and exotic flowers comprised of yellow blossoms which emerge at the end of a tube-like structure of overlapping bracts. The flower resembles parrot's beak. Large yellow pod contains 1 seed.
Sow seed in standard potting mix with good drainage. Keep warm and lightly moist. May be slow germinating.

Rare variety from Thailand, with green skin. Fralan means "Thunder" - as the fruit cracks when peeled. No turpentine aftertaste, very good flavor.

This one is a new cultivar created as a cross between B. americana and B. grandiflora. It has benefits of fragrant cream-colored brunfelsias and light purple color of flowers that change sometimes to cream-yellowing, remaining purple margins. Lavender to off-white flowers have very strong night fragrance. Very rare, collectible plant.

Mango from Thailand, similar to Nam Doc Mai but much bigger, eaten both green (sweet, crispy) and ripe (when yellow). This is a rare variety, very popular among Thai and Vietnamese people. The fruit are extremely sweet, fiberless and somewhat crunchy ("Mun" means crunchy). The fruit are elongated, hang in clusters, and turn yellow when ready to pick. It is a very late producer, fruit may still be on a tree as late as January.

Cac is a selection from Vietnam, where it was singled out for consistent yields, a beautiful appearance and superb eating quality. The fruit are ovate and are 18 oz with an uncommonly smooth skin. Small leathery, pear shaped leaves on compact, rounded shrub, with small light pink flowers. The leaves have a special effect: you may write with a sharp stick on the surface, and the writing will stay forever. Thus the common name of this plant!

This rare Annona is a species originally brought to us from Costa Rica. We believe it to be a natural hybrid between A. muricata and A. glabra. It is a very ornamental, evergreen, small to medium size tree with waxy, large 4-6 inch leaves, similar to A. muricata, A. montana or Rollinia. Fast growing, forms nice bushy specimen. Flowers are very similar to A. muricata.
It has a large, up to 1 lb fruit, green when unripe, sometimes with gray to brown spots, turning dark yellow to orange on ripening. The pulp is golden to orange when ripe, with strong Pineapple scent, and resembling Jackfruit in texture. Flavor is like the custard apple but with pineapple, papaya, apricot and melon overtones. Note that some people dislike the taste, others find it good.

Malpighia punicifolia - Dwarf Barbados-Cherry, Dwarf Acerola, Dwarf Pink Mound.
This dwarf form of Acerola makes a wonderful low-growing shrub or beautiful bonsai tree with edible fruit. Profuse bloomer, it is also a nice ornamental.
Due to its shallow and smaller root system, Acerolas can be interplanted with other crops more closely than many trees. Acerolas grows in marl, limestone, clay and other heavy soils as long as it drains well. Has the highest vitamin C content of any fruit. 1 Cherry is equal to 12 oranges. Used in jellies, jams, freezes without losing its vitamin C content. The plant is drought tolerant and easy to grow.

Avocado Mexicola is one of the most cold hardy varieties. Mature trees may withstand temperatures in the low-mid 20s.
