This mango is very similar to the Haden, only better! It has the same flavor with the Haden, with less fiber. The fruit are also bigger and less prone to fungus problems. Pick when you see the base of the fruit turning yellow. Eat before fruit gets too ripe. Best cold tolerance.

There has been a long discussion regarding proper classification of Gardenia nitida and (or?) posoqueria. In some sources, they are considered synonyms. Both species have highly star-like tubular flowers with nearly intoxicating scent.
Gardenia nitida and posoqueria seem to be 2 different varieties. G. nitida is the most common kind, with slightly smaller leaves, and flowers coming in clusters. G. posoqueria has longer single flowers, and leaves are much larger, lush and elongated.

Red Cassia, Ceylon Senna. Graceful tree with spreading, drooping branches appearing to be overweighted by its wealth of clustering red blossoms. Has alternate pinnate leaves in pairs with colored margins which further enhance the appearance.

Jamaica Caper Tree, Mustard Tree. Jamaica caper produces large quantities of flowers with white petals and many purple stamens, which extend beyond the petals. Fruit are slender, rust-colored pods which split open to expose orange-red seeds. The dense, strong Jamaica caper is very wind resistant and extremely salt tolerant.

Verawood. Beautiful large specimen tree with bright golden-yellow to orange flowers. Drought tolerant once established. Needs good drainage, but tolerates poor soils. Great shade tree.
