Wax Jamboo, Wax Jambu, Java Apple. Pink / red fruit cultivar. Fruit is thin-skinned, shiny, pear shaped with long neck. Flesh is pink, mildly fragrant, juicy, and sweet. Usually eaten fresh mainly as a thirst quencher and in salads. Has a cooling effect which makes it useful as a summertime fruit.

Glory bush, Quaresmeira. Large shrub or small tree with branching habit and huge velvet fuzzy leaves up to 10" in diameter, nice to touch, tend to turn orange/red at the lower part of the trunk. Interestingly enough crushed leaves smell like garlic. It is one of the most wanted winter-flowering vines. When in full bloom, it looks like a cascade of blue-purple over a fence or trellis. Deep lavender flowers with white throat fading to a paler lavender within a few days, and you can see all three colors on the plant at the same time. Winter-Spring bloomer, it will also have some flowers on and off throughout the year. The vine has moderate growth rate and can stay compact in a pot as a specimen, and even can be grown as a house plant. It can tolerate some light frost.

This graceful shrub grows up to 7 ft and has pointed narrow leaves. The white fragrant flowers are held in loose panicles. Cascades of flowers appear around Thanksgiving. Keep it out of the wind, and avoid putting it where it in hot afternoon sun. Blooming in fall-spring.

Kings mantle - perfect ever-blooming hedge. Bushy dense fast growing shrub. Blue flowers resembling morning glory. Several of the best-known Thunbergia species are climbers, but this native of tropical Africa is a sprawling shrub, very useful in mixed beds or as a low hedge. It has attractive, small, dark green leaves and tubular flowers which in the most common form are rich purple with a yellow throat. Responds well to regular pruning and can be shaped into a very bushy shrub, though this inhibits blooming. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil but will bloom in partial shade.
