The flowers from this tree are used for obtaining essential oil for "JOY", one of the most expensive perfumes in the World.

This is the best perfume tree for your landscape. The plant doesn't require pruning and has naturally full and bushy shape. Seedlings start to bloom within 2-3 years.

It is a tropical tree, however established plants can tolerate light freeze. Yellow Champaca is much more cold tolerant than var. Alba.

In a wild it grows in tropical and subtropical areas as a medium size tree reaching in ground about 20' depending on conditions, and can be cultivated in a greenhouse or sunroom with artificial microclimate where it grows only 10-15 ft tall. It can be easily grown indoors as well, in a large container, turning your home into a soothing oasis.
