Queen's wreath, Sandpaper vine. A twining vine with rough green leaves and spectacular tall clusters of purple flowers. It likes warm and humid conditions. The flowers come in raceme reaching over 1 foot long, the flowers lasts a couple of days but the blue calices remain much longer, slowly turning gray.
Plant seeds using well draining soil mixture - 3/4" depth. Must always be warm - 70-75F or higher. Keep damp and in bright light.

Bombax ceiba, Bombax malabaricum. Kapok tree, Silk cotton tree. Spectacular tree with red lily-like flowers. It can grow into a giant tree with heavily buttressed trunk. Young trees may have spines on trunk. The woody fruits contain silky floss used in pillows, etc. The large, lobed leaves drop in the winter and at that time masses of large orange/red flowers appear and the tree is then completely void of leaves.

Bluegrape jasmine, Princess jasmine, Che vang, Lai la co tuyen. A rare endemic in Meghalaya State (India). Spreading fast growing vine with glossy large 2-3" dark green leaves similar to leaves of Jasminum Rex. Flowers are large, 2-3" wide, with narrow curled petals and extremely fragrant. Flower shape resembles Michelia Alba flower. Black-blue berries size of a small grape appear after blooming which attract birds. This species is very hard to find. Rare variety of Leechee with small, cinnamon flavored fruit. Small habit, rare.
You've eaten Lychee no doubt in Chinese restaurants. Under the brittle crimson skin, the flesh is pearly white, sweet and jelly-like, though firm. It is eaten fresh or sun-dried (Litchi Nuts) or canned in syrup. It is a good source of vitamin C and phosphorous.
Litchi plants don't take shipping well. They may drop leaves and stress out. During summer it's important the package is not overheated if left by postman on your doorstep. No replacements or refunds on this plant, shipped on customer's risk.

Longan - the best varieties. Biew Kiew variety is from Thailand, late fruiting.
Longan is a medium sized tree from China, it can be pruned to maintain a small tree size. This lychee relative has stiffer leaves, more wind resistance and fruits more prolifically and regularly than its famous cousin. The flesh is sweet and is usually eaten fresh but can be canned or dried. The crisp skin is easy to remove and the white flesh has a texture and sweetness reminiscent of litchi.

Red Sandalwood, Saga. Popular Indian tree with many uses. The tiny flowers are said to smell vaguely like orange blossoms. The seeds are used in necklaces and ornaments, as beads in jewellery, leis and rosaries. In Malaysia and Indonesia, the trees provide shade and planted as "nurse trees" in coffee, clove and rubber plantations. Seeds are roasted and then eaten with rice in Java, Indonesia. In Melanesia and Polynesia people call it the "food tree". The seeds are said to taste like soy bean. A red powder made from the wood is used as an antiseptic paste.
