This new hybrid has a light, almost white skin when ripe, and a snow white sweet pulp. The fruit is very large, up to 2 pounds! One of the best subtropical fruit trees, small tree, starts fruiting right away, relatively cold hardy. A must for your fruit garden. This plant drops leaves during winter-spring.
Annonas are best suited for container growing, due to small height and early fruit production - 3-4 years from seed.

Yellow Aphelandra. Yellow flowers emerge out of long orange stalks in the fall time. Pretty and unusual! A tall, shrubby perennial with very long terminal inflorescences that are very unique and showy, with yellow flowers protruding from orange calyces in succession over many days. Grows nicely in full sun in south Florida, but it will also tolerate quite shady conditions.

Discovered by Joey Ricers in Uvalde, Texas, Joey is a compact egg-shaped avocado that thrives even in cooler climates (surviving the teens to 20s F) and ripens from August to October. The fruit has smooth, thin, purple-black skin and rich, buttery flesh with a slightly nutty taste - perfect for guacamole or slicing.
Growing into a dense, upright tree reaching 10-25 ft, it's self-pollinating but pairs well with a Type A variety to boost yield.

Avocado Wurtz is dwarf hybrid. It is very compact and slow growing, reaching only about 10-15 feet at maturity. Great for dooryard or container growing. The tree can handle temperatures to 25(F) degrees. Fruit is thin-skinned, 10-12 oz. The seed is small and fruit skin is smooth.
Fruits ripen green from May to September. The flavor is very good. Production is good and it is a consistent bearer.

The beautyberries are packed tightly together in clusters that encircle the stem. Spring flowers and beautiful fall fruit make this an attractive landscape plant. This Florida Native is easy to grow: pretty hardy and very drought tolerant.

Cashew nut, Cashew Apple. Small size tree that will produce fruit within 1-2 years; will successfully fruit in container. The actual fruit is the nut, the apple is a swollen stem. Cashew apple is eaten fresh or stewed. It has a sweet-astringent taste. Nut itself is caustic until roasted. Must be roasted outdoors because fumes are irritating.
