Dwarf Golden Trumpet. Dwarf variety of garden favorite allamanda, with smaller narrow leaves and regular size yellow trumpet flowers. Great for small size gardens, potting culture or as a small accent plant.

Alocasia cuprea is an utterly stunning dwarf Alocasia. They also go by the name jewel Alocasia or mirror plant. The leaves are out of this world with their shiny surface and metallic appearance. The iridescent leaves emerge a copper, green with a light pink sheen. As the leaves mature, the green color deepens but the pink remains opalescent, becoming more noticeable as light reflects off the leaf.

Alocasia Regal Shields has nearly black leaves with a burgundy underneath; a dark green topside and purple underside with lime green veins. The plant needs very little water. To keep it happy, mater moderately.

Voodoo lily, Devils tongue, Snake Palm, Corpse flower. Amorphophallus bulbifer is one of the prettiest of the Voodoo Lilies and the inflorescence doesn't smell that bad compared to others of the genus. Amorphophallus only blooms when mature and even so it doesn't bloom every year. The unpleasant smell that the flower omits is only present for a few hours after the flower opens. If the flower is pollinated (normally by flies if the plant is outside) it will take 1 year for the plant to mature its seeds. The seed stalk is very pretty with the seeds changing colors from green to red. During this time the tuber will not produce a leaf.

Soursop, Guanabana, Graviola - best tasting annona fruit. Evergreen in warm climate. Cold sensitive, will not tolerate hard freeze. It can successfully fruit in container and grow indoors.

Soncoya, Toreta, Ilama. Medium-sized tree with a trunk that usually branches fairly low. The fruit pulp is very good but not marketed. In Colombia, the pulp is eaten raw or is strained for juice, drunk as a beverage or folk remedy. In Mexico, Soncoya juice is regarded as a remedy for fever and chills.

Marmelada, Ornamental Alibertia. Great choice for those who need to add a short and yet impressive shrub into landscape. The plant stays 2-3 ft tall, easy to prune if needed, with beautiful "shooting" white flowers, slightly fragrant. Very nice landscape exotic shrub for small spaces.
It prefers filtered light and can tolerate shade - this is a great choice of flowering showy plant for shaded areas!

Lila. Very cold hardy variety. Produces medium size, green fruit. Season: September-October. Don't confuse this variety with Lula, which is popular in Florida and used for rootstock (that one is cold hardy to only 25F).
It survived temperatures around 10F near San Antonio, Texas (Zone 8b). Can take temperatures down to 15F for short period of time without significant damage.

Angel Trumpet - one of the most popular favorites for Southern gardens. Small tree or bush with trumpet-like fragrant flowers that change color from white (bud) through yellow to pink (mature). Fast growing and easy to grow.

The beautyberries are packed tightly together in clusters that encircle the stem. Spring flowers and beautiful fall fruit make this an attractive landscape plant. This Florida Native is easy to grow: pretty hardy and very drought tolerant.

Popcorn Cassia, Peanut Butter Senna - A shrub or small tree producing golden-yellow flowers with a distinct scent of peanut butter that open from brown buds in late summer and autumn. Also called Popcorn Cassia, because it smells like fresh cooked, buttered popcorn when you run your fingers through the leaves and then smell. It blooms beautiful large clusters of sunny yellow flowers.

Cassia javanica - Apple Blossom Tree. Beautiful pink apple-blossom-like flowers. A very showy summer bloomer. Magnificent flowers bloom with petals that change in color from pale red to dark red then paling again. Flowers range from white to pink on the same branch and appear in dense clusters. This tree is in bloom for over three months.

Cashmere Bouquet, Scent Malli. Fast growing bush with lush tropical foliage and very fragrant white flowers, carnation-like, coming in big clusters. Shade tolerant, great for shade gardens and as an indoor plant to enjoy tropical fragrance year around.

Powderpuff Combretum - very showy beautiful vining shrub with red flowers. Can be trained into a small tree standard. Easy to grow and undemanding, it only requires regular water to establish, then can be drought tolerant. Blooms almost year round in warm climates. Responds well to pruning.

Governors plum, Madagascar Plum, Batoko palm - is a tropical or subtropical small shrubby tree. It is cultivated in tropical regions as a hedge plant and for its deep red acid fruits resembling small plums. The fruits are about one inch wide and can be eaten fresh or made into preserves. They are sweet and sour, with a texture and flavor similar to a plum. Fruits mature after one to two months from flowering.
The tree is easy to grow, self-fertile and doesn't require much care, not fussy about soil and very forgiving if you forget to water it.
Seeds germinate readily, but it takes a while until the seedling is ready to be transplanted into a big pot or in the ground, a few months.

Achacha, Achachairu. Small, prolifically-fruiting tree related to the Mangosteen. The taste is described as both bitter and sweet and is somewhat reminiscent of lemonade. The rather tough, bitter rind can be split open with a knife or with the teeth, and the edible part of the fruit sucked off the seed. The Achacha is in season from December to mid-March.
The small tree with a pyramidal canopy is prolifically-fruiting. It grows in the southern part of the Amazon basin in the central area of Bolivia. Achachas are tangy and refreshing with a delicate subtle sweetness, a fine balance between sweetness and acidity, producing an unusual taste sensation. Fruit should be picked mature as it does not ripen further on storage. In addition to having a great flavor, Achacha fruit has more flesh relative to its weight, when compared to the renowned purple mangosteen. Its rind is also palatable and easily utilized for beverages. The Bolivian name of the fruit is Achachairu and translated means honey kiss in Guarani language. Nutritionally, Achachas are valuable source of vitamin C and folate, as well as potassium, riboflaving and antioxidants.
Easy to grow in south Florida and must have for every tropical fruit lover. Grows well in a container.

Rare in collections. This plant will make a showy bonsai with maple-like leaves.

Fire Bush, full size variety. Grows into a small tree. Small, tubular red-orange flowers. Pruning inhibits the blooms, which appear at the ends of the branches. One of the best butterfly attractors.

Beautiful vinous flowers open in the morning, and by 3-4 pm they convolve into a curious fico-like knot. Flowers cover the bush several times a year. Very similar to Hibiscus acetosella, only with green leaves, this edible hibiscus is rich of vitamin C. All parts of the plant are edible and can be used for delicious tea or in a salad. Very fast growing, forms a large bush in one season. Tolerates dry conditions. Grow your edible landscape in no time!

Finally, an Ixora that doesn't demand full sun! Ixora Shady Lady is a unique tropical hybrid prized for its ability to bloom beautifully in light to moderate shade, where most other Ixoras struggle to flower. Black Gold Jakfruit originated in Australia. The tree is vigorous and with regular pruning can be maintained at a height of 8-10 ft. The fruit is has narrow shape, weighting 14-20 lb. It has dark green color with sharp fleshy spines, which don't flatten upon maturity. The deep orange flesh is very soft, with strong flavor and aroma. The flesh easily removed from the fruit comparing to other cultivars. Fruit ripen in Fall in Florida.
